The GOBIO GmbH performs qualified sampling of different environmental compartments (fishes, superficial waters, holding water, aquatic sediments, growths and biofilms) for the implementation of accompanying analyses in the frame of ecotoxicological assessments and research projects.
Our team includes experts for specific sampling procedures such as electrofishing in accordance with the DIN EN 14011 norm or for the assessment of the saprobic index in accordance with the DIN 38410 norm.
The technique denominated electrofishing, used for catching fishes from streams, rivers, lakes and coastal waters, can only be performed by trained personnel. Electrofishing is a suitable technique for the assessment of the composition, abundance, diversity and age structure of fish communities.
In this regard, the GOBIO team possesses years of experience in the implementation of field studies which require complex sampling procedures of blood and tissue samples of fishes for chemical analyses and histological and biochemical investigations.
